Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2025

OneBeat lets two iPhones collaborate on photos using a live, shared camera preview and remote shutter. Privacy is a core principle of the product design.

Data We Do Not Collect

OneBeat does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our servers, because we do not operate any servers for the app. We do not collect names, emails, contacts, precise location, photos, or analytics tied to your identity.

On‑Device Processing

Camera preview, shutter control, and session state are processed on your devices. Any temporary technical data required to establish a session remains on your devices and is discarded when the session ends.

Private Peer‑to‑Peer Connection

Devices connect directly using peer‑to‑peer communication. The camera preview stream and shutter signals travel only between the participating devices and are not routed through our servers.

Photos and Media

Photos are captured and saved by the shooting device’s system camera and photo library according to your iOS settings. OneBeat does not upload, store, or back up your photos.

Permissions

The app requests camera, microphone (if enabled for video preview or future features), local network, and photo library permissions only to provide core functionality. You can change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Diagnostics and Analytics

By default, OneBeat does not collect analytics. If you opt in to share iOS system diagnostics with developers via Apple, some aggregated, anonymous data may be available to us. This data does not include your photos or personal content.

Children’s Privacy

OneBeat is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address the issue promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. We will update the “Last updated” date above when changes are made.
